Nicole and Roger’s story started out as most modern love stories do. . . on the internet. In Spring of 2019 they matched on Hinge. Due to Roger “not mixing work with personal life” they unmatched after three messages. Then, in September of that same year, Nicole got into a minor fender bender in Berwyn and Roger was there in full firefighter gear to save the day. They both noticed the other, but chose to not mention the infamous Hinge fail. Then in October, Nicole came across Roger on Bumble, and decided to swipe right yet again. This time, it ended with drinks at Imperial Oak on October 29, and the rest they say is history! Then, on July 19, 2023 after a great day of exploring Door County, Nicole and Roger got engaged!
From the moment I met Nicole and Roger at our Studio I knew that these two were meant to be together. I loved getting to know them better at their engagement session last Fall – they are just so easy to be around and so comfortable with one another, it was truly a joy to take their pictures! These two are honestly just perfect together, being around them makes me believe in true love. Conrad and Ryan and I were beyond excited to celebrate their wedding with them this August at Seven Bridges Golf Club!
When we arrived at Nicole’s childhood home to take pictures of the girls getting ready we were greeted by so much joy, and Nicole was absolutely glowing. Nicole had a sweet “first look” with her Dad on the staircase at their home (I just LOVE a good staircase moment) and then we made our way to Seven Bridges for things to really get started. We took some pictures of the girls on the course before moving them back inside and swapping out for Roger and the guys. When I saw Roger for the first time that day I told him how gorgeous Nicole looked and he couldn’t hold back his emotions. It was honestly one of the sweetest moments I have ever shared with a groom, the way he loves her is so beautiful. As the ceremony began Roger had his back turned to the building and turned around just as Nicole reached the end of the aisle, his reaction to seeing his bride was so emotional and perfect. After their sweet ceremony we snuck off with Nicole and Roger for some pretty golden photos before the reception began. Once Nicole and Roger were introduced to their cheering guests it really felt like a party – we loved hearing each toast and clinking our glasses along with the newlyweds’ friends and family to get them to kiss. After gobbling up THE most delicious donuts we have ever had from DeEtta’s Bakery the dance floor opened and everyone rushed to party, it was honestly just the best night. We would do it all over again if we could, sending so much love and gratitude to this wonderful couple!!
Congratulations, Nicole and Roger, we love you and wish you a lifetime of happiness together!

Elise & Garret’s Sweet Seven Bridges Golf Club Wedding

Elise and Garret met in the Summer of 2017 playing for a recreational soccer league in Chicago. Their first date was mini golfing and a drink at a bar, they officially started dating in September. As their love grew they moved in together in January of 2020. Garret proposed at the Naperville river walk; it was a rainy day but Elise still agreed to go on a walk with him that ended in a proposal!
Conrad and I were so happy to join Elise and Garret and their friends and family to celebrate their wedding this Fall. When we arrived at Elise’s parents’ home everyone was in great spirits and Elise looked absolutely beautiful. She had held onto a little receipt that Garret first wrote “Love You!” on, I love discovering special mementos when photographing details before a wedding!! After Elise got into her gorgeous gown she did the sweetest reveal with her bridesmaids just before an adorable “first look” with her Dad.
Once everyone was ready we went together to St. Mary’s Catholic church in Mokena. What a gorgeous church for a traditional wedding ceremony! Ashley joined us for the ceremony so that Conrad could capture video for Elise and Garret, she took some beautiful photos of the church. Garret seemed a bit nervous and fought back a few tears as the ceremony started but once he saw Elise walk down the aisle with her Dad he could not keep his eyes off her for the rest of the day.
After their ceremony we moved to the beautiful Seven Bridges Golf Club. We had the best time photographing Elise and Garret’s wedding party, everyone was so kind and in such great spirits! The weather was lovely, it was the perfect Fall day for a wedding at one of our favorite country clubs! We were honored to be alongside Elise and Garret as they started their married lives together!
Congratulations, Elise and Garret, we love you and wish you a lifetime of happiness together!

Kelly & Paul’s Pretty Seven Bridges Golf Club Wedding
Kelly and Paul met through their mutual friend whenKelly was invited to be on Paul's softball team. She declined that invitation because she was busy training for a marathon . . .
Kelly and Paul met through their mutual friend whenKelly was invited to be on Paul's softball team. She declined that invitation because she was busy training for a marathon and had a long work commute (an invitation she still regrets declining, but knows that timing is everything). It wasn't until 2018 when Kelly went out for her friend’s birthday dinner at Quartino, where Paul worked at the time, that they hit it off. All of the girls at dinner were saying how great Paul looked and that someone should date him, Kelly agreed and volunteered herself. The girls wasted no time and wrote Kelly's phone number on a comment card and on their way out told Paul to call her that night. Paul had poker plans with his friends and made the wise decision to wait until the next morning to text Kelly. It took almost 2 weeks for their schedules to align to go on a date but they quickly became a priority to one another despite opposite work schedules and were falling in love in no time!
Fast forward to 2021, Kelly and Paul started house-hunting in the suburbs. After a year of spending much more time at home because of the pandemic they were ready to get out of the city, have a little more living space and a yard for their dog, Turtle. Kelly started making a lot of jokes that a proposal better be coming soon now that they were buying a house. On June 27th, the 2nd to last time they woke up in their first apartment together, with a mattress on the floor and moving boxes everywhere, Paul snuggled Kelly and told her how much he loved her and asked her to marry him. He previously led her to believe the whole day would be spent packing but little did she know he had booked her a manicure appointment and with the help of friends planned a surprise engagement party that afternoon to celebrate. And they closed on their house the next day!
I loved getting to know Kelly and Paul during their engagement session last November, we had so much fun together. It was clear from that evening that Paul was over the moon for Kelly! We were so happy to find out that Kelly was pregnant when we met with them to go over the details for their big day!! Kelly was eight months pregnant for their wedding day but didn’t let that slow her down, she was on her feet and enjoying every second throughout the day! It was just the perfect celebration capped off by a romantic sparkler sendoff (with Kelly in a sparkly maternity mini!) We had so much fun being there for this unforgettable day!
Congratulations, Kelly and Paul, we love you and wish you a lifetime of happiness together!

Tessa & Piotr’s Emotional Seven Bridges Golf Club Wedding
Tessa and Piotr first met the day they moved into Simpson Hall at Loyola University Chicago in 2007. They were friends for a few months until Piotr came to a family friend's wedding with Tessa as his “plus one.” They have been together ever since, dating since they were 18 and navigating a lot of life together – starting their careers, Piotr’s med school residency, and losing loved ones – and through it all they always knew that they would be together forever.
When their wedding day came, Tessa was missing her Mom who sadly passed away in 2014. Surrounded by the love of her bridesmaids she got ready and included some beautiful mementos so that she would feel her Mom’s presence on her wedding day. This green ring Tessa wore was made with some of her Mom’s ashes; her heart locket and bouquet charm (a thoughtful gift from her maid of honor) both held pictures of her Mom.
The weather on their wedding day was iffy and we spent a lot of time checking the radar throughout the day. It was drizzling when the time came for Tessa to first see her Dad and then Piotr, but we managed to do their first looks on the covered back patio of Seven Bridges. Golf Club. Tessa’s Dad was so emotional when he saw his daughter as a bride, and told her that the weather was very much like the weather had been when he married her Mom. There were just so many emotions throughout the day but I will always remember hearing this beautiful conversation.
After their First Look, Tessa and Piotr quietly exchanged private vows at their ceremony site. This was such a beautiful moment. We love when couples choose to exchange private vows, it’s always so meaningful and emotional. Throughout the day the rain came and went, it even rained through the sunshine during the ceremony! But nothing could dampen the joy and love that Tessa and Piotr share; this day was a perfect and beautiful celebration of their lives together.
Congratulations, Tessa and Piotr, we love you and wish you a lifetime of happiness together!

Nora and Alex’s Stunning Seven Bridges Country Club Wedding
Nora and Alex feel like family to us. I first met Nora years ago, when she was still single, at a boudoir session. I admired her strength and beauty then, she boldly did that session for herself but joked during and after that the photos would one day be a gift to her husband.
Nora and Alex feel like family to us. I first met Nora years ago, when she was still single, at a boudoir session. I admired her strength and beauty then, she boldly did that session for herself but joked during and after that the photos would one day be a gift to her husband.
Fast forward to 2017 and Alex reached out to let us know he would be proposing to Nora and wanted to do it during a couple’s session we had planned for that Spring. Conrad and I had the most fun at their proposal and were so honored to be a part of that beautiful moment in their lives.
Nora and Alex had planned to get married in the fall of 2019 but decided to hold off because they bought their first house together. But they could have never realized what was to come in 2020, and when the time came for their fall wedding they had to dramatically change their plans. When their wedding day finally arrived, Nora and Alex managed to limit their guest list to comply with regulations regarding the pandemic. They changed venues and chose Seven Bridges Golf Club in Woodridge because Alex’s grandma’s home backs up to the course. Nora and her girlfriends got ready at Alex’s grandma’s house, they all looked amazing thanks to the team at Windy City Glam. One of my favorite moments was when Nora’s niece Emma saw her aunt in her gorgeous gown from Volle’s and said she looked just like a princess.
After Nora finished getting ready, she had a special plan in place for her first look with Alex. She had her Mom, his Aunt, Mom and Grandma come out to give him special “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue” gifts. It was so sweet to watch Alex receive all of these thoughtful gifts before he finally saw his bride!! Of course when Nora came out then we were all emotional, it was just the sweetest moment.
When we arrived at Seven Bridges the scene was set for a gorgeous ceremony. Walden Floral in Downers Grove did an amazing job decorating the ceremony space and creating the most beautiful bouquet and boutonniere. Nora’s cousin officiated the socially-distant ceremony, it was so sweet to see him emotional as he talked about having the honor of serving as the officiant for his cousin’s wedding.
After the ceremony, we took some family photos before heading inside for Nora and Alex’s lunch reception. They had the most DELICIOUS chocolate peanut butter cake from Molly’s Cupcakes in Naperville. Nora had given up carbs for a while before the wedding, it was hilarious to watch her sneak the entire cake away to their sweetheart table after getting a taste! As lunch wound down we snuck out onto the golf course for some beautiful photos with Nora and Alex, including an epic drone moment on one of the seven bridges. It was just the perfect day and we were so honored to be a part of it!!
Congratulations, Nora and Alex, we love you and wish you a lifetime of happiness together!
